Mr. Segerson has an extensive background in domestic
and international innovation, entrepreneurship, foreign direct investment,
joint ventures, intellectual property commercialization, business development
and attraction, and internationalization. His direct experience in sustainable
economic development, through the creation and support of public-private
partnerships (P3), is demonstrated through his successful development and
implementation of business incubators/accelerators and business
assistance/workforce development services in the U.S. Mr. Segerson also served in senior leadership
positions in large domestic and international information technology operations,
in both corporate and higher education environments.
Mr. Segerson is CEO of P3 Innovation Strategies, LLC. He was Vice-President for Economic Development
at George Mason University, and Executive Director of the Mason Enterprise
Center -- providing professional business assistance services, coaching,
mentoring, training, and workforce development to 15,000 entrepreneurs each
year from 31 different physical locations.
Mr. Segerson received the Bachelor’s degree in
Marketing & Management from Ohio University, the MS in Computer Science
Management from Houston Baptist University, and the MS in Information
Technology Management from George Mason University. He has extensive overseas experience,
including in-country work in Central and Eastern Europe, the United Arab
Emirates, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, Malaysia, Canada, Spain,
Vietnam, China, Russia, South Korea, Japan, Mexico, India and Chile.
